This video contains six different sequences of predation upon spiders and flies by an adult female Phidippus princeps from Greenville County, South Carolina, USA. These spiders are common inhabitants of old fields near forest margins, and move between nest sites on herbaceous plants and sites on nearby trees. They feed on a wide variety of spider and insect prey, including conspecifics, at all phases of their life cycle.
